State Capitol Grounds and Trail

While this area does not resemble a state park, the formal grounds and flower gardens are visited by thousands of people each year. The capitol grounds include 50 acres around the capital building, Montana Historical Society Museum, and state office complex. Located in Helena at the junction of 6th and Montana Ave. This is a one mile nature trail loop that includes an annual flower display in the Capitol Square front lawn area.

State Capitol Grounds & Health Beat Exercise Trail is located at 1301 East 6th. When exiting off of I-15, using the Capitol exit turn right at light, proceed to Roberts Street (after the Capitol Hill Mall), turn left and go three blocks.
