Powell County Museum
The story of Deer Lodge unfolds when you step into the Powell County Museum of local history. Experience what life was like in early Montana through the displays and photos of the area.
Exhibits include displays of early 20th century living, 1920's household displays and collectibles. Other exhibits include early placer and mining exhibits and the Hunton Wood Carving Collection.
Powell County Museum is located in the Old Montana Prison Complex, which houses five unique museums inside its historic prison walls. The complex includes the Old Montana Prison, Powell County Museum, Frontier Montana Museum, Yesterday's Playthings and the Montana Auto Museum.
One fee covers all five museums.

Driving Directions
Powell County Museum is located on Main Street in Deer Lodge off I-90 using exits 184 or 187. It is located in the Old Montana Prison Complex.
