Campground elevation is elevation is 6,350 ft and is at the base of Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area. There are 12 developed sites available on this campground. The campground is at the trailhead for the Bear Creek Loop Trail. It is suitable for both horse (stock) and family camping. There are no grills or tables on the sites. Most sites are nestled in an Aspen grove with some shared hitching rails. Maximum trailer and RV length 22 feet. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.

Driving Directions

From Ennis travel south on Highway 287 for approximately 10 miles. Turn east on Bear Creek Loop at Cameron, MT. Follow the signs to the campground.
