Come to Virginina City, Montana. Learn about the influence of the Civil War in Montana's early history. Experience the fashions and customs of this era... Join us for a Victorian High Tea at the Bennett House on Friday at 3:00pm. Attend the authentic melodrama and musical at the Opera House at 7:00pm. The Grand Victorian Ball for Peace 1865 is Saturday, commencing at 7:00pm with a promenade on the boardwalk followed by the Grand March and dancing in the Community Center Ballroom. A light repast will served at 9:30pm. Dance to the music of the special orchestra directed by the muic historian, Professor R. Alexander Jfames. Classes on dances and customs are provided the afternnon of the ball at 1:00pm and 3:00pm by dance mistress Mme. T.J. Wald. You are encouraged to dres in 1860 - 1880 period costumes but this is not a requirement. All events welcome children.

Special service at historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church, recalling a service from 1865.
