Anaconda Wildlife Expo
The Anaconda Wildlife Expo is an annual event and is coming into its 6th year. It is quickly becoming a 'Need to see' art expo and has caught the eye of many art collectors throughout the country. Many 'high quality' artists from around Montana as well as from other states are featured here, 35 in all. The artists are on hand to meet and answer your questions. Anaconda's own, Fred Boyer, is a nationally recognized sculptor and has been the featured artist at many art shows around the country. His works have frequently won awards for Best of Show and People's Choice. Artwork on display at the Expo varies from photography, documentaries, watercolors, acrylics, oils and wood and bronze sculptors.
Saturday morning beginning at 10:00am all of the art will be on display throughout town at each of the banks. Outdoor demonstrations will be taking place at the parks within town. In the past, we have had dog training, fly-fishing, 3D shooting and horse packing demonstrations. There will be a variety of food booths in addition to our wonderful restaurants. Saturday night there will be an art auction.
Both Saturday and Sunday afternoon are FREE to the public. Saturday evening, beginning at 7:00pm will be a 'Meet the Artist Party at Smitty's Barn, located only minutes west of town. A wildlife game feed along with beer and wine will be offered with live music and dancing. The fee for the dinner is a suggested donation of $25.00 each. Sunday afternoon marks the last day of the event. The art and outdoor demonstrations will be displayed and the artist will be on hand. This is a great way to see exquisite art and take in the beautiful fall colors all set at the base of the majestic Pintler mountain range.
