Virginia City Overland Stagecoach & Horseback
We invite you to ride the Virginia City Overland Stagecoach for a 25-minute narrated tour up scenic and historic Alder Gulch! Learn about and experience firsthand, what stagecoach travel was really all about! Our stagecoach is far smoother and more comfortable than you would imagine. On the way to our destination of Virginia City's first gold discovery site, we'll show you our first jail, hospital and more! Ride with us and you'll leave with a much better understanding of Montana's 'Gold Rush Era', vigilantism, and just what a 'Road Agent' was... Discover the stagecoach robberies, gold rush wealth, sheriffs gone bad, and vigilante hangings that were all a part of Virginia City's colorful, and sometimes dark past.
Tickets are available at the Virginia City Overland Stagecoach for horseback rides. Horseback rides depart from just north of the train depot.
