The Grand Victorian Ball of 1864
Come to Virginina City, Montana. Learn about the influence of the Civil War in Montana's early history. Experience the fashions and customs of this era... Join us for a Victorian High Tea at the Bennett House on Friday at 3:00pm. Attend the authentic melodrama and musical at the Opera House at 7:00pm. The Grand Victorian Ball 1864 is Saturday, commencing at 7:00pm with a promenade on the boardwalk followed by the Grand March and dancing in the Community Center Ballroom. A light repost will served at 9:30pm. Dance to the music of the special orchestra directed by the muic historian, Professor R. Alexander Jfames. Classes on dances and customs are provided the afternnon of the ball at 1:00pm and 3:00pm by dance mistress Mme. T.J. Wald. You are encouraged to dres in 1860 - 1880 period costumes but this is not a requirement. All events welcome children.

7:30pm Grand March, dancing begins after the march
